Help Wanted: Americans Need Not Apply
When, on the rare occasion, the Gods of Globalism think of the Citizens of the United States of America, they think not of our ingenuity or inventiveness, our capabilities or our past successes. They think of our demands for a decent wage, payroll taxes, unions, paid holidays and vacations. They think of government regulation for safe working conditions, the loss of productivity due to paid family leave and our desire to have a life that is about more than just being corporate slaves.
They do not consider the struggles of our ancestors for fair working conditions. They are not influenced by our struggles to form unions and protect the safety of workers. The do not ponder the patriotic pride of the great American worker, contributing to the great American Company.
The bottom line is this - The Gods of Globalism think bottom line.
And they have a message for the American worker. “We don’t need you anymore. You are too much trouble. There are millions of people living in third world conditions that have very low expectations and we can improve our bottom line by shafting you and exploiting them.”
Sorry, this is just business. Nothing personal. We do however still want your purchasing power.
Yes, we are still valued as customers. Americans are massive consumers. But I have to wonder if any of these globalists have thought long term about how we can continue to consume if we are unemployed. Or, maybe they have thought about it, and decided that their third world employees will also be big consumers- someday. But for now, our badly flagging dollar still speaks to their wretched bottom line and their disloyal hearts.
I suppose it is our own fault for having standards and expecting a decent days pay, for a decent days work. What were we thinking? We thought of work as a means to an end. We thought of work as a way to fund our lifestyles. Work is not the sum total of who Americans are, though we have always taken great pride in our accomplishments. We want to spend time with our children before they make their way off to adulthood. We want to spend the weekend with our spouses and mow our yards and wash our cars. Who can blame us for this? It is all a part of the American dream.
But our American dream is not compatible with the dream of the Gods of Globalism. Their world looks very different from ours. It is not a world we would wish to live in, and yet, here we are.
And now we must make important choices.
Do we fight for the standards of living we have grown accustomed to or do we adapt and settle for what crumbs are offered to us? Do we continue to reward corporations by consuming goods made by slave labor in contemptible conditions or do we use what is left of our purchasing power to reward the few companies who still take pride in the ‘Made in America’ label? With our dollar flagging and our ability to earn diminished, time is of the essence. We had better act while we still have leverage.

So who is responsible for what is happening to the American worker? The answer; everyone is.
It isn’t exclusively the fault of the globalist, morality aside, for exploiting the illegal immigrants who come here to work and suppress our wages. After all, illegal aliens are good for the bottom line. They work hard. They work hard for much less and they don’t complain because they are afraid of being sent back to Mexico, Honduras or Guatemala. No, they don’t complain about working twelve hour days, shoddy working conditions or slave wages (which are still superior compared to their country of origin). Why hire an American, who will expect a lunch break, where there are so many more nails to hammer and so many more hotel rooms to clean? Why employ Americans who expect that the law be followed and payroll taxes be delivered to the IRS in their names?
Our “representatives” in Washington DC, who have forsaken the American worker and the American dream, are a disgrace and should be ashamed of their betrayal of the citizens they were elected to represent. In their lust for global power and fortunes, they have failed in their duties and must be held accountable. Re-electing them or others like them only encourages more of the same. It must be understood that their part in this is no accident. Politicians are to blame for their disgusting socialist view of the world and their need to redistribute the wealth of our society to third world nations.

(Excerpt- Article 34, OAS Charter)
The Member States agree that equality of opportunity, the elimination of extreme poverty, equitable distribution of wealth and income (can you say, communism?) and the full participation of their peoples in decisions relating to their own development are, among others, basic objectives of integral development. To achieve them, they likewise agree to devote their utmost efforts to accomplishing the following basic goals:
b) Equitable distribution of national income;
They are to blame for their weakness in pandering to rich corporations like Microsoft whose founder, Bill Gates, asked Congress for unlimited H1-B Visas to do the work he claims Americans are now too stupid and lazy to do.

The governments of the third world are also to blame for allowing their citizens to be treated like slave labor. Their poor working conditions and unfair trading practices encourage abuse and do nothing to correct this because it benefits their economy.
Corporations that were formerly thought of as great American companies have betrayed their home and their people and now wave the banner of globalist corporations instead of the American flag. They have no loyalty to the American worker who has grown old in a lifetime of service to their corporations. And they have no sense of obligation to the generations who now seek a future with them.
Governmental departments like the FDA are to blame for lowering safety standards and not having the courage to hold politicians and corporations accountable when safety and standards are compromised. They are too weak to demand proper funding so safety measures can be assured.
Third world employees are responsible for not standing up to their governments and our former corporations and for failing to demand humane treatment. If everyone refused to work, they would be forced to make changes but with the constant supply of fresh slaves to abuse, there is no real incentive for change. It is hard to criticize third world would-be slaves for wanting to eat but if our American ancestors had not taken a stand, imagine what life would have been like here over the past centuries.
These new corporate slaves aren’t worried, at least for now, about healthy working conditions and fair wages and benefits. They don’t complain about the sweatshop conditions or the horrendous pay and the excruciating hours. They don’t dare. They know an unending line of unemployed hungry workers wait at the door to replace them and so they suffer and work in silence. And we, as consumers, aid and abet their abuse by buying the goods they produce.
The hardest pill to swallow, is the fact that the American consumer is also to blame. There is such a disparity between the American Job market and that of the third world. The globalists are exploiting it. Should we be surprised? Not really, a snake is a snake and a snake does what snakes do. But if we sit down with a snake to negotiate, and we get bitten, can we really be surprised? What did we expect to happen?
Our ancestors knew this. Snakes don’t change by decade or even century. Snakes were slithering through the corporate board rooms in 1850 and 1950 just as they do now. That is who they are and what they do. We can’t wait for them to do the right thing out of conscious. We must make them do the right thing by appealing to their greedy nature. When it hurts their bottom line, they will make necessary changes.
The Gods of Globalism are only doing what they can do and that is their very nature. They aren’t suffering for their indecency. In fact, they are being rewarded. What does it matter to them if their Hershey plant is making Kisses in California or in Mexico?

Chocolate is chocolate after all…and money is money. It matters not if it is the dollar, the euro, the peso, or the amero. After all, we are a global community now. There is no room for patriotic pride. This is about the global economy!
I bought a Ford Truck. There were other choices out there but my heart called out to me and when I had to put my money where my mouth was, I chose American. If Ford no longer values that in a customer, then I will not purchase Ford again.

Heartwarming, isn’t it, to see the companies that we thought of as our own now forsaking the American worker for easily abused third world labor? Ford was once considered as American as Apple pie, and yet, no more. Actually, apple pie might still be homegrown, but the apple juice you are giving to your toddler most likely isn’t.

Teamster President Jimmy Hoffa spoke recently before a Senate Subcommittee on the perils of trade with China. I don’t know if his testimony swayed congress to do the right thing, but just maybe it has influenced the American citizen to take action.
