Abortion

Abortion is a tough platform point for any politician, much less an American presidential candidate.
Regardless of the moral and ethical stance one may hold, the taking of a life by premeditated force of a citizen of the United States of America is not in the interest of the citizen, the American people, or the American Economy.

Abortion as Racism

Between 1973 and 2007 forty-six million American children were killed. An estimated 1.2 million abortions occur annually today. Since 1973 black women have had approximately 13 million abortions. As there are 39 million blacks in America, the missing 13 million shows that America’s black community would now number 52 million persons. It would be 33 percent larger than it is. Abortion has swept through the Black community like a scythe, cutting down nearly every fourth member. For every three black Americans, one is missing. That is a tragedy of epic proportions.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. They were founded by Margaret Sanger whose “Negro Project” in the 1930s was designed to reduce the births of black children. Today 78% of Planned Parenthood clinics are in minority communities. If blacks make up approximately 26% of the United States population, why are 78% of abortion clinics aimed at these and other minority communities except for population control or ‘ethnic cleansing?’

Planned Parenthood closed 17 abortion facilities in 2004. But they sold 20% more abortions. How did they do this? By targeting minority neighborhoods in major cites. Currently, 94% of America’s abortion facilities are in cities. And African-American women, who make up 13% of the female population account for 36% of all abortions. Latino-American women account for another 13% of the female population, but account for another 20% of all abortions. (See Susan Enouen, “Planned Parenthood Abortion Facilities Target African American Communities.”)

The African American leaders at Life Education and Resource Network ask, “Are we being targeted? Isn’t that genocide? We are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant.

The Negative Economics of Abortion

All Americans, regardless of age, born or unborn, are consumers. Everyone has the need for goods and services provided by the American free market economy.

Forty-Six Million Consumers Killed! The potential impact of killing 1.2 million American citizens per year at any age is unthinkable. Aside from the moral implications, Every year, 1.2 million new potential consumers will not buy goods and services from diapers to computers to houses, get an education, and contribute to the health of society via employment or entrepreneurship.

How much money is lost to the economy from abortion? From diapers to food and clothing, education, healthcare, toys, and much more; 1.2 million people times the dollars lost is a staggering blow to the economy. The U.S. tax base is also deflated because of abortion. When dollars aren’t spent and income isn’t earned, taxes are not collected. 46 million employees making 30 thousand dollars per year would add 483 BILLION dollars to the United States Tax base every year.

Abortion Growth and Job Loss - According figures supplied by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it takes $55,000 of consumer spending to create one new job. Simple math tells you that dollars lost directly equals jobs lost. Some economists point out that every new job can create 2-3 spin-off jobs, which would increase the total loss by that factor.

Abortion as a National Security Issue

To maintain the population of a healthy nation such as the United States and Great Britian the birth rate must be 2.1 or higher: that’s a little over two children per couple - one to replace each parent plus a buffer for accidental death, disease and other causes of death. A birth rate of 2.1 will maintain a population, but higher birth rates are necessary for a country to grow. With birth rates of 1.2 for Russia; 1.4 for Japan, Germany and Spain; and 1.2 for South Korea, Taiwan, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovaki, within a generation these countries will not have the population to maintain their economies. They will simply shut down.

The United States had a birth rate of 2.09 in 2007 - barely enough to maintain its workforce. An American President needs to encourage our national birth rate by eliminating the marriage penalty in the Tax Code, increasing tax credits per child, and encouraging the solidarity of the nuclear family as the building block of our great nation.

My fellow Americans, let freedom ring. Let the cries from our children be cries of joy. Let us end abortion and strengthen our nation economically as well as morally.

Thanks for listening. God Bless you, and God Bless the United States of America.
